Allied High Tech has released the MetPrep 3x and MetPrep 4x grinders/polishers to the market.
These are polishing (or grinding) wheels for sample prep that can be used manually, or with automation, and can store up to 10 recipes. They also offer integration with optional fluid dispensers for automated operation.
The main difference between the two systems is that the MetPrep 3x takes 8" or 10" platens (polishing wheels), while the MetPrep 4x takes 10" or 12" platens. This means the 3x is limited to polishing a maximum of 9 samples simultaneously, while the 4x can handle up to 12.
