Hitachi has released a new version of its popular TM4000 series of tabletop SEM's. The new instruments are called the TM4000III and TM4000PlusIII (the Plus in the name denotes a motorized stage).
The initial press release for this instrument was light on details about improvements over previous models, but it did mention the inclusion of a filament life monitoring system.
