It's not a washing machine, but a new compact 120keV TEM from JEOL.
The JEM-120i is a compact TEM designed to fit into very small spaces. The main unit takes up half the floor space and less than a third of the volume of previous models. The height of the unit is also less than 6' (1.8m) tall.
Ease of use and ease of maintenance is also touted in this new model.
There will be a high contrast and a high resolution model available, with STEM, EDS, scripting functions, and different cameras also available as options.
Voltage 20-120keV, Hi Resolution model can achieve 0.14nm resolution.
