According to this sales article from SEMTech Solutions, Zeiss has announced it will discontinue support for all LEO model SEM's.
Zeiss had its own line of SEM's and TEM's in the 1970's and 80's, Memorable for their distinctive red (SEM) and orange (TEM) columns, but eventually exited the electron microscope industry. In 2004, Zeiss decided to reenter the field by purchasing Leica Electron Optics (LEO), which were famous for their Gemini columns which had originally been developed by Siemen's.
It has now been 20 years since the LEO brand was put to rest, and now Zeiss will no longer be able to support any instruments still in the field.
